Guest post of the week by Moises Henderson
I got a fabulous recipe off of the internet using my kahului clear internet last week that I am going to make for my dinner party this Wednesday. We are having two other couples over for dinner and I wanted to do something unusual.
I am originally from the Southeast and recently ordered a lot of grits ( it is really hard to get grits in Hawaii if you can imagine- or even know what they are). If you don’t know what grits are they are similar to ground hominy, but really finely ground. They have a nice texture and taste.
The recipe I found was for braised beef short ribs over cheddar grits. It is going to take four hours to cook the short ribs, so I will have to get started much earlier that afternoon, but I think that they will be great! I have never made them, but have eaten them, and they are one of my favorite meals! I hope they turn out good for the dinner party.
